Comfort of Rearrangement
I must say 2020 has been a challenge for all of us. From the Pandemic, Social Injustice, Systematic Hindrances, and Political Powers. We all have come to far to let the entanglement of doubt, frustration, and fear torment us to believe this country can not move to a better place. I must say those of faith have an assurance of who holds our future regardless of the disruptions of 2020. “Christ in you the hope of glory”. It is not a mystery of present state, but our hope is in Christ for those who believe. At our weakest moments we are strong. Yes, it has been complicated with all the new norms, but we are a people of strength and endurance and this too shall pass. James 1 says, “Our Father is of heavenly lights who does not change like shifting shadows”. For a shadow to shift there must be a movement of the object. Wherever the object goes the shadow follows if it remains in the light. Every time the shadow moves the sun sets still. The sun is the guidance of the shadow. If there is no sun, there is no shadow. If there is no light the shadow ceases to exist. Without Christ the SON we cease to exist in being the light of the world. Without the SON there is no movement of truth to shed his light to those who are in need. We are the light of the world; we sit on a hill for the world to see. Wherever we go we should shadow the light within us. The representation is the light in the movement of the shadow. Yes, the shadow shifts but if the light is in us the shadow proves to be an illumination of the SON of the living God who comforts us in the rearrangements and especially in 2020.
