Who or What has Blocked Your Chase to Destiny?

Destiny calls everyone. There is an end result for every human being on Earth. The problem is we tend to fall into someone else’s path to destiny instead of our own. That’s because we lack the knowledge of what to do on the journey to destiny. We have lost our map therefore, we have allowed trauma, tragedy, insecurities, and fear to block us. We have become tunnel stricken by unsettled memories, our own selfish desires, or unworthiness. Walking in someone else’s shoes is a journey on someone else’s path. I’m reminded when David was going to fight Goliath and King Saul wanted to give David his armor. David told Saul that he was “not use to wearing his armor.” (I Samuel 17:38-39). Therefore, we can’t use anybody else’s strategy, plan, or purpose to reach our designed destiny. Destiny calls for us to walk our own walk and use the gift that was given to us and us alone. We were uniquely made with a specific personality, specific talent, and gift. We sometimes allow our past memories or past child development to stunt our chase to destiny. We are not a product of our environment. We all have a choice to move past our dysfunctions and press toward the mark. Philippians 3:13-14 says, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Another blocker of destiny is our own inner turmoil of not knowing our identity. We have allowed thoughts of unworthiness, insecurities of not being enough, and low self-esteem from being disrespected rob us from destiny. When we allow blockers to chase our destiny we live in an illusion of what our destiny is and how to get there. Chasing after false illusions will detour you. What is chasing your destiny? “He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.” (Proverbs 12:11). Once we exam who we are and where we are going then we can understand our true destiny and will not subject false belief systems to overrule our God-given destiny.
