Is Destiny Reachable and Does Everyone Have One?
Everyone wants to “reach destiny.” Destiny is defined as fate, conclusion, finality, or divine. We all have an end result beyond our mortal body. Upon the creation of man,, we were destined to live throughout eternity. As seduction entered the heart of man, the connection and covenant with God was separated. Our destiny went from eternity with God to death. Our only hope was our choice in making the decision to connect back to God. The spiritual aspect of “reaching destiny” is choosing to accept Christ as our Savior. That will close the separation from God or if we choose not, we face eternity in hell or whatever our belief system states. While living on Earth our destiny could entail a goal, career, lifestyle, promise, wellbeing, good health, wealth, prosperity, family, children, business, etc. There is a plan to reach this destiny. In this plan is our kinship to God. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future.” (Jerimiah 29:11). For us to reach the destiny that was ordained for us we must submit our plan to God and join in the plan He has for us. The journey to destiny is living our life according to God’s will, serving others, and demonstrating the love of God that He may be glorified. Our contribution to society and catapulting to our finality is how we grab our designed destiny. It is stated in Ecclesiastic, “It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of every man.” The conclusion on Earth is either death or life, but what will you contribute to society on this journey to destiny?
